Dear Laska,

I have a wonderful toy for you in my house. It does not whistle, but it squeaks very boldly. So far, it has not dined upon the peanut-butter with which I have tried to entice it. You can have it forever if you’ll come over and catch it. (Please hurry.)

That picture in the snow – you can’t see it but he kept his butt off the ground – he’s not a fan of snow. ANd he does listen so well – he knows the rules and those two important words – No and home – he’s a wonder kitty- we walk up to a half mile away and no leash – amazing. And he does complain about home – he has a special “really?! I don’t want to” meow. As for your day my friend – you are brave o you ARE – I’m glad Laska brought smiles – he’s a smile factory. The only other thing I can do is pray – and I just finished. God bless you friend.

pa·thet·ic (p-thtk) also pa·thet·i·cal (–kl)
adj.
1. Arousing or capable of arousing sympathetic sadness and compassion.
so not a bad thing :o)
St Augustine said in his Confessions he let them flow freely as they would, making them a pillow for his heart. On them he rested. Tears matter! They validate that what we are feeling is real. there must be a reason God collects them in a bottle by His throne. I cried a lot today too. It’s healing. We matter to God.
Thank you also for your kind words to my comments. It is so good to feel something I said had value.
In Jesus, the Lover of our soul, Elke

Elke – you DID respond to Nacole, she’ll get an email version of your response – so she’ll know. Since I responded to her first – mine went first – then your’s got placed under mine. It’s all good ツ

But I read what you said too – and it’s beautiful – thank you for that – and your words DO have MUCH value – these words were — well – I’m thankful for them. God bless you Elke!

hi Elke,

i dont know what to say except just–the heart is warmed at seeing your reply here. thank you for your words. did i ever need to hear them! i spent all day yesterday getting the girls, the house, and the supper ready for church last night. when my husband came home and found me crying in bed, he said he would take the girls to church so my work wouldn’t be wasted and i should stay at home and rest, a night off from everything. what a man! i found Jesus’ love and rest through my husband. his yoke is easy. it is relieving to know that even St. Augustine let the tears flow freely and that this is healing. thank you for this.

blessings,

Nacole

Laska and Kreg, i am layt…veree layt….so will klik now. Hope u r feeleeng betr now, much bettrs uv feelngz, kreg.

Praying for you and Nacole, both. Retroactively, since I don’t know the outcome. I think this works in God’s ‘time is only a human thing’ realm. Somehow.

thank you, A. i believe that about prayer and God’s time not being our time. and your prayers are appreciated, no matter the timing. i am still in a battle and dont know how long it will last…it has been going on for two years…i am believing God for a miracle, but at times my faith wanes….so thank you so very much. i have prayed for you too.
blessings friend,

Nacole, you are welcome. It is hard to hold on sometimes in the long-duration battles, isn’t it? I will continue praying for you-I am in the midst of one, too, and there are no easy answers sometimes. Things can be complex. I am grateful you have a supportive husband.

Thank you Craig. Really , thank you.
it’s the comfort wherewith I was comforted. God is so wonderful and soooo loving. I’m glad He led me to your blog. Deep into love. the very center of Gods heart, transcendent of the mere “God loves you” generic answer preached from many pulpits today.
I guess I got so used to hearing it and I believe what I hear about Him. But I want more I want to know Him deeply intimately and His Love for me personally, in real time, now, in the daily “mess”. An I’m thankful that you choose to write about just that.
Hope you’re feeling better,God bless you, really really bless “you”, Craig.

Brother Craig–am praying you soon recover–it sounds like you have the same crud I dealt with for 2 1/2 weeks, not fun at all. I’m sorry I’m not fluent in feline-speak like my beloved sis Debbie, so will wait till you’re well for further chat. By His stripes we are healed–walk it out–God bless you abundantly! Sis Caddo

it’s kind of an instinct thing – a genetic thing – so I’m not going to give him too much credit – you can’t give too much credit to a cat – their collective heads are big enough as it is – you know? Anyway, thank you Emily, and God bless you and your family!
